Where do the GPS location messages report to?
Iridium Extreme has a GPS capability which enables you to send your co-ordinates with date and time stamp to contacts or online mapping portals. There are two ways you can do this:
If you will only send locations occasionally you do not need to sign up for any special tracking plans - so long as you have an active SIM card (prepaid or pay monthly) you can send your GPS co-ordinates. On the Standard method your location will be sent in a basic message to contacts you set on the handset (email address or SMS delivery)
If you wish to send locations frequently or make use of the automated tracking function we recommend that you look into our mapping portals. For an additional monthly fee you can send your location messages into an online portal where the user can view historic data overlaid on satellite or map imagery, generate reports and also send messages to the device.
